BMW shows all-new Z4 roadster concept teaser before Pebble Beach debut

The production-previewing concept will show its sheetmetal on August 17th

BMW is set to launch an all-new Z4 two-door in 2018, but before it shows the production model, it’ll first reveal a design study tomorrow, August 17th, at the 2017 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. The automaker has already teased the car via a shot it posted on Facebook, and people seem to love it in the comments.

The shot uploaded by BMW is actually quite revealing, showing most of the car’s front fascia, its headlight design, haunches and rims. It also looks like it’s finished in some sort of copper or orange paint.

No details were spared, though, and BMW doesn’t even want to announce that this is, in fact, the Z4 just yet. You can tell that the design study is not a production model – it has no door handles, and it couldn’t possibly be legal with side mirrors that small – these are among the details that will change as it morphs into a production drop top.
