Frankly, their wheels looks pretty conventional to us, so we don’t know what they’re on about
Now as far as ludicrous claims made for image and marketing’s sake go, this one is right up there. Faraday Future, the fledgling manufacturer of all-electric vehicles has released another video teasing its first ever offering, this time claiming to have “reinvented the wheel.”
The claim is made even though the camouflaged prototype / mule is riding on what are evidently conventional wheels.
Joking aside, the company is obviously trying to suggest that it will adopt an unconventional, innovative technical solutions for its upcoming model, ones that will set it apart from its competitors.
The company’s official website announces they “are bringing the future forward. Our goal is to usher in the next generation of premium, hyper-connected electric vehicles in the next few years.”
They say they’re “starting with a clean slate, and are more able to tackle challenges such as autonomous driving and battery range with a novel, uninhibited approach. Instead of attempting to retrofit existing products and outmoded practices to the task at hand, we face it head on with original concepts and new technologies.”
We’ll see just how fresh their vehicle feels as it debuts at CES 2017 early next year; the show runs January 5 – 8.
