What, you thought all FoMoCo would display is a fleet of Mustangs?
A fleet of F-Series trucks will join the already-announced stable of Ford Mustangs at this year’s SEMA show.
Ford’s stand at SEMA looks more like a tuning festival but that’s absolutely alright given the show’s profile. So besides custom Mustangs, visitors can also admire a set of F-Series trucks featuring the Blue Oval’s craziest tuning jobs.
One of them is a 2018 Ford F-150 pickup truck that got the Need for Speed Underground fever and never recovered. Just kidding, but it does try to bring back the sport-truck craze of the 1990s through an extensive body kit, Forgiato wheels and Wilwood brakes with 15.5 inch rotors.
For those with the racing virus running through their blood Ford prepared a very special F-150 XLT SuperCab. Powered by a 2.7-liter V6 EcoBoost engine harnessed by a ten-speed automatic gearbox, it features Toyo Proxes ST III tires, Katzkin interior goodies and Forgiato Tecnica wheels.
Next in line is the Ford F-150 RTR Muscle Truck, which comes to join Vaughn Gittin Jr’s RTR Mustang. Powered by a 5-liter V8, it recommends itself as a multi-purpose machine capable of pulling its weight both on- and off-road. It features Nitto Grappler tires, RTR 6 Tech off-road rims and basically heavy-duty everything.
Last but not least, Ford also made a follow-up for another F-150 that made waves at the 2012 SEMA show, going by the name of 2018 F-150 Tjin Edition. All you need to know about this one is that’s very low and it almost looks like a model spawned by the Japanese tuning culture.
In other news, Chevrolet is also attending SEMA with this wonderful C/10 pickup truck restomod.
