GeigerCars Gives Europe a Taste of American Muscle with Chevrolet Camaro Supercharged 630

It’s the closest thing to the Camaro ZL1 Europeans can touch

Chevrolet sells the sixth-generation Camaro with only two engines in Europe: a 275 PS (271 hp) 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline four-cylinder unit and a 453 PS (447 hp) naturally aspirated 6.2-liter V8.

The folks from GeigerCars saw an opportunity here and decided to give the Camaro more muscle by fitting a supercharger to the V8 version. The result is called the Camaro Supercharged 630, where 630 represents the engine's maximum power in metric horsepower (PS). That's very close to the Camaro ZL1's 650 hp, which is not sold in Europe.

The 6.2-liter LT1 V8 is dialed up to 630 PS (621 hp) and 791 Nm (583 lb-ft) of torque, thanks to the performance kit that also includes optimized software and a powerful engine oil cooling system. Handling is made sharper via a KW sports suspension V1 that lowers ride height and firms up the dampers.

The impact on performance is obvious: the Camaro Supercharged 630 needs just 3.9 seconds to go from 0 to 100 km/h (0-62 mph) and can reach a top speed of 305 km/h (190 mph). The figures correspond to the model equipped with the available eight-speed automatic transmission.

For those customers who want to show the world they own a souped-up Camaro, GeigerCars also offers styling upgrades including a body kit and 21-inch OZ Racing Superturismo Dakar alloys painted Matt Graphite.

GeigerCars offers each of these upgrades separately or as a whole, in which case the Camaro starts from €79,900 ($84,940).
