324 km/h is an impressive speed on public roads
Yeah, the joys of driving on the Autobahn, the German highway: you can hit 201 mph and still be entirely legit
Don't try this in America, folks! Or in any other country, by the way – only the Germans can (still) enjoy their parts of Autobahn without speed limits. And the drivers from AutoTopNL really floor it in their latest video.
The car is an Audi R8 V10 Plus supercharged to 802 hp. Not your usual Audi R8, as the stock V10 Plus version `only` gets 610 hp… So, it's a beast on its own. Just skip the first minute of annoying music and jump into the car:
Now, a word of advice: if you want to come to Germany, rent a car and have some fun on the Autobahn, keep in mind that most `no limit` portions are actually heavy-traffic highways, and you'd be frustrated out of your mind trying to overtake a 70-year old driving in the fast lane at 60 mph (don't push him, it's his right).
Try the A9 from Munich to Nuremberg, or the A1 from Hamburg to Bremen, or the A31 from Enschede to Oberhausen – all have long stretches of impeccable road where you can floor it.
If you're a fan of high-speed videos, here's some more spectacular action here. Or you'd perhaps want to see Conan O'Brien's reaction when reaching 140 mph on the Autobahn?
