On paper it has it all, but will it confirm on the road?
The Zenvo TS1 followed the ST1 – the Danish carmaker’s first supercar – at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show and was essentially an updated version of its predecessor rather than a whole new model.
However, the biggest change was the engine. The TS1 relies on a 5.8-liter flat-plane vee-eight (coming to replace the old 6.9-liter turbocharged and supercharged V8) this time adorned with two superchargers. Power output: 1,170 hp and 811 lb-ft of torque. Top speed: north of 233 mph (375 km/h). Price tag: $1.8 million.
Holding all that power in check is a raft of aero and mechanical tweaks, including the front and rear Brembo carbon-ceramic brakes with six-piston calipers and a suspension system fitted with a hydraulic lift feature.
Too much press kit literature? Fair point, so you’d like to know how it drives, right? Well, your answer lies in the video below, courtesy of Carfection’s Henry Catchpole.
