Honda ad reinstates brand’s sporty ethos

It says inside each of their models “is the heart of a race car”

Honda has in recent years started to close the gap it had left since the 1990s between it and competing brands. It still kept its image as an engineering company at heart, but it somehow lost the sporty, fun edge it was known for.

Now we have a new halo vehicle that’s the definition of a technical tour de force, two generations of turbocharged Civic Type-R and the promise that they won’t stop there. In fact, if you check out Honda’s latest ad, you will hear the words “whether it’s a truck, sedan or a coupe, inside is the heart of a race car.”

And they’re probably not going to stop here, if the rumors are true. According to said rumors, Honda is either working on a “baby NSX,” or a new S2000 or both. The suggested launch date for this model is expected to be sometime around the year 2019.

But until then, do check out Honda’s latest ad which confirms their sporty future intentions and gives more weight to rumors about new sporty modes (or so we hope…).
