Hyundai and Rockstar Turn the Santa Fe into an Extreme Off-Roader for SEMA

Nitrous-powered 3.3L V6 engine to give it enough thrust to modify topography

Hyundai Motor America and Rockstar Performance Garage are working together on a nitrous-powered Santa Fe concept vehicle that will debut at the 2016 SEMA Show.

Capable of serious off-roading thanks to its raised ground clearance, big rugged wheels, and all-wheel drive system, the Rockstar Santa Fe study features a nitrous-powered Hyundai-based 3.3-liter Lambda V6 engine capable of taking it through any terrain.

Key modifications to the Rockstar Santa Fe Concept include an upgraded braking system, custom suspension setup with new tie-rods and control arms, 2.0 KING coil-overs at the front, 2.5 KING shocks with a finned reservoir at the rear, and Magnaflow custom exhaust. The vehicle rides on 17-inch off-road KMC XD 301 Turbine bead-lock wheels shod with Mickey Thompson Baja Claw 35-inch off-road tires.

"Our Rockstar Santa Fe Concept is simultaneously all-show and all-go, a non-compromising concept with tremendous capabilities and a confident demeanor to match," said Nick Ashby, lead developer of the Rockstar concept vehicle. Well, we can't wait to learn more about this pumped-up Santa Fe and see it in action.
