Jeep Shows Off 2016 Grand Cherokee SRT Night Special Edition

Jeep has unveiled the Grand Cherokee SRT Night special edition model at the 2015 Los Angeles Auto Show

Jeep has no major launches at this year Los Angeles Auto Show, but has brought two special edition models based on the Grand Cherokee and Wrangler: the 2016 Grand Cherokee SRT Night and 2016 Wrangler Backcountry.

The 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT Night combines performance a host of gloss black styling tweaks, including an unique roof, lightweight performance wheels, grille bezels, B- and C-pillars,side window surrounds and roof spoiler. Furthermore, the front applique is Satin Black, as is badging on the hood and rear liftgate.

The Grand Cherokee SRT Night rides on new 20-inch split five-spoke “5Ten” 20-inch wheels which are also finished in Satin Black and reveal the Grand Cherokee SRT8’s standard Brembo brakes. Inside, updates include Black Laguna leather with Silver accent stitching and Light Chrome bezels.

Customers can also choose from a host of optional features such as a dual-pane sunroof, a 19-speaker 825-watt Harman Kardon stereo system, trailer tow package, three-season tires, a full-size spare tire and a dual-screen rear entertainment system.

Since it’s based on the Grand Cherokee SRT, it means it’s powered by the 6.4-liter V8 engine rated at 475 hp and 470 lb-ft of torque which allows it to go from 0 to 60 mph (96 km/h) in 4.8 seconds and reach a top speed of 160 mph (257 km/h). The model is also capable of going from 0-100-0 mph (0-161-0 km/h) in 16.3 seconds and can cover the quarter mile in the mid-13 second range.

The Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT Night will go on sale in the first quarter of 2016.
