Meet the all-electric Havelaar Canada Bison pickup

It’s the second emissions-free pickup to be launched recently and one thing’s certain: neither is a looker

We know pickups aren’t necessarily bought based on their aesthetic qualities, but the Havelaar Bison is truly a revolting looking pickup – to our eyes, none of its exterior design elements seem to work together – like the Workhorse, it's not a good effort at all. But looks aside, it can apparently travel up to 300 km on a single charge and its Tesla-inspired interior is not the worst – it even replaces the center stack with a huge portrait screen, just like in the Model S.

Power or torque figures were not revealed, but go is provided by “an advanced dual-motor, fully-electric powertrain driving the four corners.”

The startup manufacturer says “the Bison speaks a bold design language, punctuated with angular cladding and wedge profiles in an evolutionary leap forward from traditional pickups.” Being designed and built in Canada, it has been engineered with harsh weather conditions and difficult terrain in mind.

No word on when it will be put into production, how much it will cost and when it will be made available for customers.
