Peugeot 2008 Gets Its First Facelift at the Geneva Motor Show

Launched in 2013, the Peugeot 2008 crossover has already received its first makeover

At the 2016 Geneva Motor Show, the French automaker is debuting a refreshed 2008, which gets subtle styling updates, a new trim level, as well as revised engines.

The refreshed Peugeot 2008 sports new wheel arch extensions, a new vertical front grille, as well as new scuff plates, roof bars, rear door molding, and spoiler. Other styling upgrades include black and chrome headlamps, and revised clusters. Inside, the 2008 gets the latest i-Cockpit system and an infotainment system that supports MirrorLink and Apple CarPlay.

In addition to these updates, the 2008 is available from now on with a new Ultimate Red body color and a new GT Line trim level which adds to the existing Access, Active and Allure trims. The GT Line range-topping grade features 17-inch Eridan alloy wheels, gloss black elements instead of the standard chrome effect, Black Chrome facets on the front grille and GT Line badging on each front wing and the tailgate.

From a technical aspect, the revised Peugeot 2008 offers Euro6-compliant gasoline and diesel engines, with outputs ranging from 75 PS to 130 PS and CO2 emissions from 90 to 114 g/km. There are five 1.2-liter gasoline engines with outputs from 82 PS to 130 PS, with the most economical being the PureTech 110 with a five-speed manual gearbox, which returns 4.4 l/100 km. The six diesel engines all have 1.6 liters of capacity and outputs from 75 PS to 120 PS, with the most fuel-efficient being the BlueHDi 100 S&S with a five-speed manual gearbox – 3.5 l/100 km.
