Report touches on all-electric Porsche Mission E price tag

Refueling breaks will be like fast pit stops

Porsche’s upcoming EV has been receiving a lot of attention lately rumor-wise, something that culminated at IAA 2017 in Frankfurt.

Clearing the air for Car Magazine was Chairman Oliver Blume, who revealed bits of interesting information about Stuttgart’s upcoming electric vehicle.

Arguably the juiciest aspect is the official’s hint at the EV’s price tag. According to Mr. Blume, Porsche’s Mission E will be priced similarly to an entry-level Porsche Panamera.

A few clicks through Porsche’s online configurators tell us the EV will might cost in the region of $85,000 in the US of A and €90,655 in Germany/Europe.

Since we touched prices, the same outlet reports that the model should go on sale towards the end of 2019. Subsequently, Oliver Blume mentioned “the design is fixed” and the road-going Mission E will take a lot after the concept. Yay!

Also on the spicy plate is the EV’s 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) sprint time, estimated at less than 3.5 seconds. As for range, expect the Mission E to travel for 500 km (300 miles) on a fully-charged battery.

Charging that battery to 80% would take just under 15 minutes, with Mr. Blume adding that Porsche’s 919 Hybrid Le Mans racer has been pivotal in developing the Mission E.
