This Range Rover driver does J-turn parking maneuver with a twist

No, not twist; Flip, I meant flip…

Now it’s hard to not criticize the driver who’s the protagonist of this parking fail video, but I'll do my best to refrain from it. Nah, just kidding!

Even if you try to find reasons why he or she chose to execute the maneuver, no other comes to mind aside from the fact that it is just an unsuccessful attempt at high-speed J-turn parking – you know, like you see those precision drivers succeed time after time – think Russ Swift.

However, those precision drivers usually choose something small and agile to throw around (and have proven skills in this area), whereas the vehicle in this video is a big old lumbering Range Rover (and its driver is inexperienced and optimistic). Plus the Range is not renowned for its excellent body control (top-heavy would be a more accurate way to describe it), or its handling or even its ability to do a side flip unscathed – long story short: it’s not at all ideal for this.

Still, we have to applaud the driver for attempting this as it gave us something to poke fun… repeatedly. The flip had a positive side, though, as it rid the hefty Range of some unwanted weight in the form the rear window which in turn led to the shedding of the aftermarket speaker box – now airflow through the cabin won’t be an issue, and trunk space will have been restored.
