Used Muscle Cars Retain Better Value than Average Cars, Report Says

Muscle cars are making a comeback on the used market

The world would be a dull place without muscle cars, no doubt about that, but besides power and quick acceleration times, these cars seem to hold high residual values.

According to Kelley Blue Book cited by the Detroit Free Press, 'a three-year-old Chevrolet Camaro, Dodge Challenger or Ford Mustang retains significantly more of its value than other vehicles.'

In other words, KBB analysts claim that the three muscle cars mentioned above can hold almost 50% of their value after three years. To draw a comparison, regular used cars usually retain around 37-40% of their value after three years, but not more.

Experts also say that these particular cars hold higher residual values because clients benefit from low to zero incentives when buying a new muscle car.
