It’s like a Porsche, only more hardcore
RUF – this "differently-named Porsche" all gamers know about – is Porsche's biggest fan, in the way they take Porsche models and transform them so heavily, they have to name them differently in the end.
Take this RGT, for example – RGT is what a 911 used to be before the transformation. It's based on a 993 GT2, only its 3.6-liter boxer engine was enlarged to 3.8-liter, completed by a modified exhaust system, ECU replacement, and a new, dry-sump lubrication system.
On paper, this 445 hp aspirated RGT is closing on the 997 GT3 RS. It does 0-to-62 in 4.2 seconds (just 0.2 seconds slower than the GT3 RS) and reaches a top speed of 196 mph (317 km/h).
Given the featured power figures, the roll cage and the racing suspension are complimentary. And so is the €235,000 ($265k) price tag.
