For the 2018 model year, America's best-selling vehicle brings both design and mechanical upgrades.

Styling-wise, the refreshed front and rear ends sport new grille, lights, and bumpers. Also, there is now more differentiation between trim levels — for example, on the Sport Package-equipped Lariat F-150, the twin bars are painted in the same color as the body.
The 2018 Ford F-150 also comes with six all-new wheel designs, sized 17 inches to 22 inches in diameter. At the rear, the sculpted tailgate with stamped "F-150" lettering is flanked by refreshed taillights, with an applique reserved for King Ranch, Platinum, and Limited versions.

Inside, the 2018 model year brings two new colors – Dark Marsala for F-150 Platinum and Navy Pier for the range-topping F-150 Limited. New trim offerings include carbon fiber on F-150 XLT Sport and Lariat Sport models, with the F-150 King Ranch features new Kingsville Appointed seats.

New technologies are also available, including available Pre-Collision Assist with Pedestrian Detection, adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go function. But the biggest update for the 2018 F-150 is the new available diesel engine — a turbocharged 3.0-liter Power Stroke V6 mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission. Unfortunately, no specs have been released yet for the F-150's first-ever diesel engine which targets rivals such as the Ram 1500 EcoDiesel.

Another all-new engine for the 2018 F-150 is the standard 3.3-liter direct-injected V6 gasoline unit, which delivers the same 282 hp and 253 lb-ft of torque as the previous model's base 3.5-liter V6. Ford also offers an all-new, second-generation 2.7-liter EcoBoost engine, paired to the 10-speed auto. Finally, the naturally aspirated 5.0-liter V8 sees improvements too for increased power and torque. It also works with the 10-speed auto for the first time.
The 2018 Ford F-150 goes on sale this fall in the United States.
