All 1,955 examples have already been reserved, though

The first version of the 2018 Alpine A110 you’ll be able to order is called Premiere Edition of which only 1,955 examples will be made.

Alpine plans to sell its new A110 sports car through a 57-strong dealer network spread across Europe, Japan and Australia – it covers a total of 11 different markets.

The number of Premiere Edition models being made is a nod to the year of Alpine’s founding, but it’s already irrelevant since all examples have already been spoken for in just five days, at €58,500 a pop. The car was ordered via an app “which allowed buyers to place a refundable deposit and reserve a car.”

Michael van der Sande, Apline’s Managing Director said “With the new A110 Première Edition we’ve taken the core principles that made Alpine so successful in the Sixties and Seventies – such as compact size, light weight and a very low centre of gravity – and deployed them with modern technologies. The car is an absolute pleasure to drive on country roads or on the track, but also very comfortable to drive every day.”

As with all “first edition” models, this A110 comes very well specced with all options boxes ticked – all buyers got to choose was the color. This variant gets 18-inch Otto Fuchs forged aluminum wheels, an active exhaust, premium Focal audio, carbon fiber accents inside, brushed aluminum pedals, one-piece sports leather seats and the obligatory numbered plaque.
