If yes, you’ve come to the right place

Dodge is not particularly known for off-road prowess, unless you look at the FCA Group as a whole and keep in mind the same giant owns Jeep. However, the internet wants to prove otherwise.
Currently for sale on Craigslist, this 1972 Challenger 4×4 is not your daily cup of tea as it shed drag races for another form of adrenaline stemming from off-roading.

It’s also built in accordance to its newfound purpose. Its makers welded it to an M1009 military chassis and threw in a 5.7-liter V8 engine connected to an automatic gearbox. The ad also mentions a rebuilt bulletproof NP205 transfer case plus Dana 44 front and Dana 60 rear axles.
The rear bombshell, however, is the asking price: a cool $28,000. What’s more, Carscoops reports that the initial sticker was $30,000 and as it’s also specified in the ad, the owner thought a lower price might increase the chances of selling the contraption.

Would you pay $28k for this reinterpreted Dodge Challenger?
If the answer is no, then you might want to have a look at Hennessey’s 1,000 HP Dodge Challenger Hellcat.
