You can order one as we speak
Peugeot is using Paris as catwalk for a limited-run of its 508 SW dubbed, unsurprisingly, First Edition.
So, what’s it all about, you might ask? Peugeot explains:
“The exclusive all-new PEUGEOT 508 SW First Edition will come with unique stylistic attributes, including gloss black grille surround and 19” ‘Augusta’ diamond cut two-tone alloy wheels, with tinted varnish finish. It will be available in two colours for UK buyers: Twilight Blue and Amazonite Grey.
Further enhancing its dynamic character, the all-new PEUGEOT 508 SW First Edition features a mistral black roof lining, blue ambient mood lighting, aluminium pedals and doorsills complete with model inscription. For further exclusivity, the boot floor is lined with a Zebrano wood finish, with anti-slip bars.”
So, there’s that. In addition, we’re told that the Peugeot 508 SW can be equipped with either a 1.6-liter PureTech petrol engine making 225 PS mated to an eight-speed automatic gearbox or a diesel unit represented by the 2-liter, 180 PS BlueHDi powerplant married to the same eight-speed gearbox. According to Peugeot, both engines are WLTP-approved.
Cabin-wise, the fancier 508 SW receives carbon effect trim (aka fake carbon fiber) and “fine grade” Nappa leather black or red inserts and double stitching.
On the tech front, the 508 SW First Edition bags induction smartphone charging, a 10-inch capacitive display for the infotainment system, a FOCAL hi-fi sound system, wireless headphones designed by the Peugeot Lab, and DAB digital radio services.
