Production Prototype Mercedes-AMG GT Four-Door Snapped Under Heavy Camo

AMG is developing its own four-door sedan which will be a more toned down version of the AMG GT concept from Geneva

Brace yourselves for the four-door AMG model, set to be launched within the next year. As we’ve come to expect, it will bear a heavy resemblance to the Geneva concept, but be a more toned down version of it, featuring such production car features as door handles, rear-view mirrors as well as really big rims instead of huge ones with gold accents.

It will apparently feature the same basic hybrid powertrain as the motor show study, which mated a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 with electric motors for a combined output of over 800 hp. It’s not clear whether the production version will feature the same power output, but the electrified powertrain will remain.

In regards to the styling, the concept snapped up by our spies is too heavily camouflaged to make stating firm facts facile. Its body will most likely be a mirror image of the Geneva study, but everything else will be more restrained and production car-like.
